MINDY TERRY
For more than 17 years, Mindy Terry has successfully helped establish and grow some of the world’s most notable spas. As a respected presenter and educator, Terry’s vast knowledge of the spa and wellness industries stems from developing, opening and operating leading spas as well as consulting on the development of luxury destination, resort and day spas around the world.
As the Founder and President of Creative Spa Concepts, Terry works with clients in the United States, Mexico, South American, the Middle East, Egypt and the Caribbean. Creative Spa Concepts’ consultants represent more than 100 collective years of experience in the wellness and hospitality industries. Under Terry’s leadership, Creative Spa Concepts stands out from all other spa consulting firms because each consultant has developed, led or been an integral part of guiding spas to national “Top Ten” status including the rankings in Condé Nast Traveler, Luxury SpaFinder and Spa magazines.
Before creating Creative Spa Concepts, Terry was on the executive development team and served as spa director for Aquae Sulis Spa in Las Vegas. Shortly after opening, The Wall Street Journal named Aquae Sulis as a “Favorite Spa” and USA Today chose it as one of North America’s “Top Ten Spas.” During her tenure at Aquae Sulis, Terry conceptualized and developed the United State’s first Hydrotherapy Water Circuit as well as a signature line of products that was featured in Cosmopolitan.
Terry also has extensive product development and marketing knowledge. She previously worked with Phytomer Corporation where she prospected and assisted with negotiating large accounts including those with Elizabeth Arden Red Door Salons & Spas and Euphoria Salons, Spas & Schools.
As a spa expert, Terry has appeared on FOX, NBC, ABC and CBS and has been quoted in leading publications including HOTELS, Cosmopolitan and SmartMoney. Terry currently serves on the Advisory Board for the Las Vegas Spa Association and, as a member of the International SPA Association; she co-authored the “Standard Operating Manual.”
In addition to leading Creative Spa Concepts, Terry is also a licensed cosmetologist, aesthetician, yoga instructor, make-up artist and certified infant massage instructor. This Utah native enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, traveling, and frequenting spas as often as possible.
